The short version
The game can send anonymous gameplay stats so we can balance difficulty, fix bugs and make it run better. It never sends your name, email, SteamID or Steam name, and we don't store your IP address.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, nothing is sent until you say yes.
- Everywhere else it's on by default and you can turn it off.
- You can change your mind any time in Settings > Data & Privacy.
- No ads, no profiling, and we never sell or share the data.
Who we are
Nauco Labs (Felipe Matus), a one-person game studio in Santiago, Chile, is responsible for this data (the "controller"). For anything about privacy, write to privacy@naucolabs.com.
What the game sends
- A random installation ID. A random code (UUID) created on your device, only once sending is allowed. It isn't linked to your Steam account, SteamID, name, email or IP. It lets us tell runs from the same install apart from runs from different installs, nothing more.
- Build and device. Game version and build type, which Steam app it is (demo or full game), platform (Windows, Linux, Steam Deck), GPU model, screen refresh rate, window mode, whether you mostly use keyboard or controller, and your system and game language.
- Performance. Frame times while you play.
- Runs. Day reached, why you lost, coins, shop purchases, characters and upgrades picked, run length and similar game stats. Also clicks on the in-game wishlist and website links.
- Co-op. Your role (host or guest), group size, connection quality (latency, disconnects) and temporary player numbers that only mean something inside that one session. Steam names of the players are never sent.
- Consent region. Only "EEA/UK/Switzerland" or "other". It's worked out on your device from the country Steam reports for your connection (or your system language if that's missing). Your country itself is never sent.
- Crash reports. If the game closed unexpectedly, the next launch sends the last part of the game's log. User folder names in file paths are anonymized first.
- Feedback you write. If you fill in the in-game feedback form and press send, we get that text. It's sent only when you send it, even if stats are off. Please don't put personal information in it.
What it never collects
Your name, email, SteamID or Steam name, a stored IP address, your precise location, or any payment details. Purchases are handled by Valve through Steam under the Steam Privacy Policy, and we never see your payment information. Co-op invites and connections also go through Steam, so other players in your session see your Steam profile there, as with any Steam game.
Why, and on what legal basis
Only to understand how the game is played: to balance difficulty, find and fix bugs, and improve performance.
EEA, UK and Switzerland: your consent. The main menu asks yes or no, and the game sends nothing, and creates no installation ID, before you say yes.
Rest of the world: our legitimate interest in making the game better, which we think is fair because the data is minimal and can't identify you. It's on by default and you can object at any time by turning it off.
Turning it off in Settings > Data & Privacy stops all sending and deletes the installation ID from your device. Data already sent can't be traced back to you after that, so it stays in our anonymous statistics.
Where it goes
The game sends the data over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to a small server we run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers), which stores it in a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare acts only on our instructions as our processor, under its Data Processing Addendum.
Your connection's IP address is used for a moment to block abuse (rate limiting) and is not stored with the data.
Cloudflare may process data in the United States and other countries. Transfers from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses in Cloudflare's addendum (with the UK and Swiss supplements) and by Cloudflare's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions. We access the data from Chile and protect it as this policy describes.
How long we keep it
Up to 24 months. After that it's deleted or reduced to totals that say nothing about any single install.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict its use or receive a copy, and you can object to its use or withdraw consent at any time (the Settings toggle does this instantly).
The data is pseudonymous: we can't tell which records are yours unless you give us your installation ID. To use any of these rights, write to privacy@naucolabs.com and we'll help you find it. We reply within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the EEA, the one in your country (list); in the UK, the ICO; in Switzerland, the FDPIC.
Children
The game doesn't collect anything that identifies anyone, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information through the feedback form, write to us and we'll delete it.
This website
naucolabs.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking.
- Hosting. Cloudflare serves the site and, like any web host, briefly processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect against attacks.
- Fonts. Loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google and Google sees your IP address (Google Privacy Policy).
- Trailer. Embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may store data on your device once you press play.
- Steam links carry a tag that tells Valve you came from our site.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.
Changes
If what the game collects changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and ask again in the game when the law requires it.
- 8 October 2026: first version.
